The best time to book a sitter session is when your baby can sit up confidently without support but isn’t quite crawling yet. This usually happens between 6 to 9 months, depending on your baby’s development. These sweet in-between months are perfect for capturing adorable, personality-filled portraits at our Brooklyn photography studio near Windsor Terrace.
No worries at all! If your baby is already crawling, we’ll adapt the session to match their movement and energy. With thoughtful setups and age-appropriate props, we’ll still capture beautiful milestone images full of curiosity and joy—just as they are in this stage.

As they progress, they’ll start sitting more steadily with less wobbling. Yes! Many parents pre-book their sitter sessions at least 2-3 months in advance, especially if they want to secure a spot. Together we choose a tentative date based on when your baby is likely to reach the sitting stage, and we adjust once closer to the date.
Sitter sessions are generally 45-90 minutes. We don’t like to put pressure and set a limit on your time in the studio. However, each slot is about 2 hours from entrance to exit. This gives enough time for breaks, cuddles, feeding and whatever your baby needs to be comfortable.
