Maternity and Newborn Photographer – me? Still gives me butterflies.
Since 2021, I’ve had the incredible honor of being named one of the Best Maternity and Newborn Photographers in both Brooklyn and New York City category by Expertise.com. This recognition wasn’t just a professional milestone – it was a deeply personal one.
Each year, from 2021 through 2025, Expertise.com recognized my studio for excellence in both categories: Newborn Photography and Maternity Photography. Being selected among so many talented artists in one of the most creative cities in the world was and still is a moment of immense pride and gratitude.
Expertise.com’s selection process is recognized for its thoroughness. With professionals evaluated based on reputation, credibility, experience, availability, and professionalism. That’s why this award has always held deep meaning for me. It was seen as a reflection. Not only of the work produced behind the camera, but also of the experience, care, and trust that are consistently cultivated with every family welcomed into the studio.
The recognition extended across both Brooklyn and the greater NYC area. Every listing felt like a quiet acknowledgment of the hundreds of tiny moments I’ve been honored to photograph. The flutter of an expectant mama’s dress, the stretch of a sleepy newborn’s fingers, the soft inhale of a new parent holding their baby close.
Recently, I reached out to Expertise.com to thank them again and to see if the awards would continue in 2025. I was genuinely saddened to hear they have retired the Maternity and Newborn Photography categories, along with several others, as part of a shift in their focus.
Their response was kind and supportive:

While these specific award categories may no longer exist, the meaning behind them lives on. I’ll always treasure the honor of being recognized in both maternity and newborn photography. More importantly, the families who made it possible.
To my clients: thank you. Whether it was your first baby or your third, whether you stepped in front of the camera at 32 weeks or brought your baby to me at 10 days old – you are the reason this studio exists. You are the reason I get to call myself a Maternity and Newborn Photographer- an awarded one.
